Check your First Results

Last updated: November 5, 2026

Once your first runs finish, take ten minutes to check that Rankscale is measuring the right things. Fixing setup issues now keeps your trend lines clean later.

Start Here

Work through this checklist the day after setup, and again after your first week.

Your Search Terms Ran

  • Open Configuration > Search Terms. Each Search Term shows results once its first run is done. Results appear as each check finishes.

  • Look for an Unsupported region badge. Change the Region or engine for those Search Terms.

  • If a Search Term stopped running, check Run limit under More options. When the limit is reached, scheduled runs stop until you raise or clear it.

Rankscale Finds your Brand

  • Filter the dashboard to branded Search Terms with Branded status in the Queries filter. Your Detection Rate there should be high.

  • If it is low, AI Engines may use a name Rankscale does not know yet. Add it in the Brand names card in Configuration > Brand Settings.

  • Open a few answers and check that every match really is your Brand. 📄 Fixing Incorrect Brand Matches

Your Competitors Look Right

  • Open the Competitors tab. Remove brands that are not real competitors and add any that are missing. 📄 Managing your Competitor Tab

  • Watch for your own product names in the list. Move them to your Brand with Reclassify.

Your Website Shows Up as a Source

  • Open the Citations tab. If it says your domain did not appear as a source, check Website and Additional domains in Configuration > Brand Settings.

  • A few days without your own site as a source is common for a new Brand. It is a starting point to improve, not an error.

Your Usage Fits your Plan

Tip: Scores are based on the runs that finished. A run that failed or was paused is not counted, so it does not pull your score down.
