Presenting and Sharing a Custom Dashboard

Last updated: October 13, 2026

Once a view is saved, you can present it fullscreen, export it as a PDF, or share it with a read-only link. This article also covers what teammates with read access can do.

Before You Start

To share a specific view, save it first. If you have not saved one yet, start with 📄 Building your First Custom Dashboard View.

Including Custom Dashboard in a share link is available on selected plans. See rankscale.ai/pricing for details.

Presenting Fullscreen

Click Fullscreen in the dashboard toolbar. The sidebar, the header, the tabs and the filter bar disappear, and your tiles fill the screen. You can still switch saved views from the view selector while presenting.

To leave, click Exit or press Esc. Fullscreen also works for people viewing a share link.

Exporting a PDF

  1. Load the view you want to export.

  2. Click PDF in the toolbar. Your browser's print dialog opens.

  3. Choose Save as PDF as the destination and save.

The PDF starts with the brand name, the view name, the timeframe and the Rankscale logo, followed by your rows as they appear on screen.

Tip: If the PDF will be read without access to Rankscale, add a Text / Notes cell with your conclusion. If charts look cramped, give their rows more height before you export.

Sharing Only the Custom Dashboard

A share link can show a single saved view and nothing else from the brand.

  1. Click Share at the top of the brand page.

  2. Under Visible tabs, click Clear, then select Custom Dashboard.

  3. Under Custom dashboard view, pick the saved view to share. It starts on your default view.

  4. Choose a Filter behavior and click Create link.

Viewers see that one view, read-only. They cannot edit cells or switch to other views, but they can use Fullscreen and PDF.

  • The link shows the latest saved version of the view. Changes you save appear the next time someone opens it.

  • Every widget in the view loads on the link, including Query Fanout widgets.

  • If the brand has no saved views, the link shows the current dashboard layout.

How long links last and how to revoke them is covered in 📄 Sharing your Dashboard.

What Teammates with Read Access Can Do

Saved views belong to the brand, so everyone with access to the brand sees the same list of views.

A member with Read access to a brand can open every saved view, switch between them, and use Fullscreen and PDF. They cannot change cells or the layout, and they cannot save or create views.

To let someone edit, give them Write access to the brand. See 📄 Restricting brand access for team members and clients.
