Turning Insights Into Actions
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Rankscale shows where you stand. This guide shows a simple loop to turn that into changes that can improve your visibility.
1. Pick One Search Term
Start with a non-branded Search Term that matters to your business, where competitors appear and you do not. 📄 How to Prioritize Which Search Term to Fix First
2. Find Out Why
Decide which gap you have: SEO, content or PR. 📄 How to Diagnose Which Gap You Have (the Diagnostic Decision Tree)
Open Citations to see which sources AI Engines use for that question. 📄 Improving your Visibility using the Citations Tab
Open Query fanouts to see what the engines searched for while answering. 📄 Understanding the Query fanouts Tab
3. Make One Change
If a competitor page wins, study what it does well. 📄 How to Reverse-Engineer And Outcompete a Competitor's Winning Page
If a source cites competitors but not you, work on getting listed there. 📄 Closing a Citation Gap
If your own page is not used, improve its content and structure. 📄 Spotting SEO, Content & PR Gaps
4. Measure and Repeat
Give AI Engines time to pick up the change. Compare weekly averages, not single days.
Keep the Search Term and its settings the same while you measure.
Then move on to the next Search Term.
Rankscale measures how AI Engines answer. It cannot guarantee how they will answer after a change, so treat each action as a test.
